Understanding the Stakeholder Landscape

The InCUBE Stakeholder mapping examines the roles and influence of internal and external stakeholders across the Groningen, Trento, and Zaragoza, demo sites, each highlighting unique dynamics and challenges in renovation processes.

The stakeholder analyses underscore the diverse social, technical, and financial contexts shaping InCUBE’s inclusive renovation initiatives, providing a foundation for understanding the distinct social expectations, end-user dynamics, and blueprint strategies across the three demo sites.

Key findings

Key findings Trento
In Trento, the municipality holds significant influence, managing building ownership, financing, supervision, and the project’s long-term goals for urban renewal. Private stakeholders contribute with technical expertise and innovative technologies, supporting the city’s drive to revitalize neglected urban areas.

Key findings Zaragoza
In Zaragoza, dwellers are also mostly owners of the apartments. Here social and affordability considerations are crucial due to the vulnerable resident population, and public stakeholders, like the municipal agency, play a key role to foster involvement and cooperation with the owners and the design team.

Key findings Groningen
In Groningen, private actors primarily manage the project, with privately owned-building and innovative technology providers and companies collaborating to renovate the aging building in a cost-effective and sustainable manner to meet modern demands.
